THE Tribute show for the late Zambian Music artiste, Dandy Krazy, was last night stolen by Copperbelt rapper, Y-Celeb after he hijacked Xaven’s performance, giving himself a 30 minutes performance on the stage.

After Slap Dee’s performance, Xaven was called on the stage to perform as the only female artist that managed to make it for the night. But as her intro song of ‘Tidwale’ was been played, it was interrupted and changed before she could even get on the stage as a song that she did with Y-Celeb started playing instead.

This was to show that she was not going to be performing alone for the night, but with her cousin.

However, while almost all the artistes that performed before the duo were only given five minutes on the stage with some such as Chile One Mr Zambia only performing for two minutes, Y-Celeb gave himself 30 minutes on the stage.

He went to hold his own show and performed almost all of his songs starting from “Mwalitwishiba ifwe” a song he did seven years ago, and performed all of his feature songs. At this point, Xaven had left the stage for him, hoping that he would follow, but he didn’t.

He remembered his days back in 408 empire stating that the fame of his group which was raised by the hit song, “Chilepule baby” was the birth of a new era in the Zambian music industry which some artiste’s unfortunately copied from.

Y-Celeb also used the opportunity to clear out his thoughts with Chanda na Kay, and asked Danny Kaya to tell the fans which friend of his he was referring to in his song “Yakumbuyo” as he currently has an idea.

The rapper went on to claim to be the new Zambian Dandy Krazy as the late artiste left his spirit in him.

“Ninebo bashile imipashi ba Dandy, (I’m the person Dandy left his spirit in) I’m the next Dandy Krazy. The big man was a very good person. He laughed with everyone. There was never a time that one would ever complain that he never spoke to them as he interacted and welcomed each artiste,” said Y-Celeb.

Further, he apologised to his fans for not being available at Dandy’s funeral service.

And after each sentiment, he would perform a song. In just the minutes that he spent on the stage, Y Celeb managed to perform over 10 songs and also apologised that his partner, Super Kena could not make it with him as he was tired and needed rest.

While the Kopala artiste was on stage, some fans in the audience were heard murmuring asking him to leave the stage so he could spare some time for his fellow musicians to perform.

However, those with the ‘Kopala’ blood enjoyed his stunt and sang to every song he played.

“I have now felt pity, let me stop talking since there are a lot of us that need to perform,” Y-Celeb finally said after a member of his team whispered to him that he needed to leave the stage.

The event that was supposed to end at 23:00 hours ended around 01:00 hours with some artistes failing to perform.
