His full names are Danny Chikeke Manyonga, a gospel singer and rapper who goes by the stage name NOAM (Nothing Above Messiah). He is based in Kitwe of the Copperbelt province, Zambia. It all goes back to 2011 when he started developing interest in doing music. The journey began when he was at Mindolo Secondary School of Kitwe town where he could rap in cyphers within school together with his friends Booster, Marck Fella, Preach B to mention only a few. His stage name by then was Damme. He felt so motivated rapping in cyphers and music clubs and Chef 187, now one of the outstanding Zambian artists, was his biggest inspiration. The kind of music he used to write was secular, where he could praise and put Himself above every other person (artist) and claimed to be the best with Rhymes. Nevertheless, when he was born again in 2014 and God gave him a brand new picture, he stopped writing secular music, though he had recorded none. Now the greatest challenge he experienced was to stop listening to Secular hip-hop music for he was too much into it. On the other hand, as a new creature he felt guilty playing such songs, not until he came across the Lota house (house of dreams) Music where he started listening to Pompi, Abel, Tiyo and Magnum44. These people influenced him with their creativity of infusing the word of God in rap music and that’s how God helped him until he completely directed his talent to gospel music. Among the gospel artists he listens to, Pompi has been and is still his greatest inspiration ever since he started listening to the Lota house Music. He thought about his experience and came to the conclusion that there may be other people going through a similar situation as his and saw it to be a good thing infusing the word of God in rap music so that those people who are too much into hip-hop music can also listen to God’s grace in Jesus Christ through hip-hop gospel. In line with that, It was in the year 2018 when he recorded his first gospel song entitled “Nothing above you” at Worldwide Music Studio and this is the song which even inspired him to come up with a new stage name, NOAM, now he has done several gospel songs such as Ali naine, Death mystery, Ndanji and many more. which he strongly believe can bless the world if it was to embrace them. The main aim of his music is to proclaim the name of the Messiah to all nations so that people can find life everlasting in Him and listen to God’s goodness.
